Prismar places consultants on-site as part of your project team

Over the years, Prismar has established a wide network of experienced consultants. It has made numerous contacts, evaluation of their skills, telephone interviews, all done by people who have many years’ experience in this business. This goes beyond using a recruitment agent with a brief to find a person for a client. Our difference is that we have worked in this business for many years. We know how to identify the best from those that can present themselves well upfront. We implicitly know what your customers want and we balance all these considerations into our selection process.

Our aim is to produce a VirtualBench of experienced consultants who you could comfortably deploy in your own project team. EXTENDED TEAM

Add named off-shore consultants into your operation without the overhead

This approach uses named consultants who work for you and follow your plans throughout the contracted period. The only differenceis that they work offshore, with the occasional visit to your premises, at your request, for reviews andteam building. The arrangement can be viewed as you having access to experienced consultants if you need them whilst we cover all the back-office overheads for you.

This approach is favoured by several companies for some ofthe following reasons:

  • You can switch consultants inor out of your projects so that you don’t pay for down time, such as holidays, sickness, or potential waiting periods between projects
  • Because they work off-shore, their day rate is much lower, making the commercial arrangement equal to, or less than employing a new member in your company, but with the flexibility of involvement.
  • We remove all the associated administration, employee insurance and other overheads that you would expect after you hire someone in your company.

TRANSITIONING PRACTICE

Agree a work contract. It’s our responsibility to deliver on time

Rather than take on named consultants as part of your extended team, you may wish tooutsource part of your project work to Prismar to complete for you.

We would agree a statement of work which will define what istobe done, how it should be done and by when, together with a statement of deliverables.

This approach is favoured by several companies for some of the following reasons:

  • You want to delegate work outside your company for a set fee and avoid the need tomanage additional consultants.
  • You want to take advantage ofthe off-shore work being done in a different time zone, and by passing it over for further development, you will effectively double the work undertaken per day. This often can compress the overall timescales.
  • Where possible, we have the option of increasing the amount of resources working onthe project to meet the deadlines.
  • If the work requires multiple skills, our offshore operations are best placed tobe able to assign them tothe project when needed.

DEDICATED CENTRE

We contain the start-up costs and provide a ready-made practice for you

You may already have a Teamcenter or ENOVIA delivery practice and you want to expand your business to include both practices. Alternatively, you may be starting your service operation and want to avoid the high start-up costs and the limitations of a small practice.

The challenge you face is that there is a high upfront cost associated with adding a second practice. Inthe early stage, you will be trying to synchronise the availability ofgood consultants whilst anticipating the first bitsof business.
